Gerlos is verbonden aan de Zillertal Arena en beschikt hierdoor over vele kilometers piste. De Isskogelbahn, de enige toegang tot dit grote ski-gebied, ligt aan het einde van het dorp. Het hooggelegen gebied van de Zillertal Arena is sneeuwzeker. Vanuit Gerlos kan iedere skier zijn slag slaan. Er zijn tal van brede blauwe pistes en gevorderden kunnen hun hart ophalen aan eindeloze tochten of uitdagende afdalingen in het nabijgelegen Königsleiten. Echte pioniers kunnen hier en daar ook naast de piste op avontuur.
Naast vele wintersport-activiteiten biedt Gerlos je ook de mogelijkheid voor tennis, squash, wandelen, langlaufen, nachtrodelen en paragliden! Gerlos biedt dus voor ieder wat wils en is daarom dus ook ze geliefd!
Tip: Gerlos is gelegen onder de Gerlospas en is via een lange weg met haarspeldbochten vanuit Zell am Ziller te bereiken. Het is dus verstandig om sneeuwkettingen mee te nemen.

Bereikbaarheid Gerlos
Met de auto:
Vanaf Munchen: A12 via Kufstein naar de Zillertal afslag, vanaf daar slaat u linksaf naar Gerlos.
Met de trein:
Vanaf München via Kufstein naar Jenbach. Van daar overstappen op een lokale trein (Zillertalbahn) of neem een lokale bus (Zillertal Verkehrsbetriebe) naar Zell am Ziller. U kunt dan een bus van Zell am Ziller naar Gerlos nemen.
Met het vliegtuig:
De dichtstbijzijnde luchthavens: München (190 km), Salzburg (180 km), Innsbruck (80 km).

Gerlos lies 1250 m above sea level and has 780 inhabitants. The Gerlos valley is on the side of the Ziller valley - framed by five other magnificent, romantic side-valleys which are all ideal for relatively easy walks.

How to get there
By car:
From Munich: A12 through Kufstein to the Zillertal exit, then further on the B169 to Zell/Ziller, from there turn left to Gerlos.
By train:
From Munich through Kufstein to Jenbach. From there change to a local train (Zillertalbahn) or take a local bus (Zillertal Verkehrsbetriebe) to Zell am Ziller. You can then catch a bus from Zell am Ziller to Gerlos.
By plane:
Nearest airports: Munich (190 km), Salzburg (180 km), Innsbruck (80 km)
